Wild Tokyo Casino uses cookies for two very different jobs on wildtokyo.com. Some of them hold your session together and keep the fraud checks running; the rest exist so that we and our partners can see how the site is used, and so that advertising can be aimed. Both are set out below. Read this next to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, which it supplements rather than replaces.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website leaves on your device. On later visits the browser reads it back. The same policy covers a longer list of technologies that behave the same way: pixel tags, local and session storage, the software development kits inside our mobile web wrapper, the device fingerprinting signals used against fraud, and server logs tied to your session. Where the word "cookie" appears below, take it to mean all of them, unless the sentence around it clearly means the narrow thing.

Legal frame that applies to you

Wild Tokyo is operated by GBL Solutions N.V. under a Curaçao licence. For visitors in Australia, cookie data that counts as personal information falls under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and it is held to the same standard as anything else we hold about you. Non-essential categories run on consent. You give it, or decline it, through the banner on your first visit, and the cookie settings link in the footer lets you change your mind later.

Categories of cookies we use

Vendors come and go, so a list built on vendor names would be stale within weeks. The grouping below is by purpose instead.

Strictly necessary. Login state, language and currency, session security, fraud checks, the cashier. Turn these off in your browser and sign-in and deposits stop working, which is why they carry no consent switch: they are the service you asked for.

Functional. The last game category you looked at, the promo pop-up you dismissed, layout settings. Nothing here is load-bearing. The site works without them, just less conveniently.

Analytics. These tell us which games pull traffic, at what step of the deposit flow people give up, and whether the loyalty and tournament pages earn their space. Aggregated data goes to internal dashboards and to analytics vendors working under contract. If a vendor wants to combine signals about you across several sites, that happens only once you have consented.

Marketing and advertising. Set both by us and by advertising partners, and used to measure campaigns, attribute affiliate referrals and place ads on other sites. Decline them and the ads do not stop. They stop being aimed at you.

Third-party embedded content. Game studios, live-chat vendors and payment gateways drop their own cookies through the content they serve on our pages. Those are governed by the vendor's policy rather than ours, and you can read them on the vendor's own site.

How to control cookies

The banner on your first visit takes accept-all, reject-non-essential, or a granular panel where each category has its own switch. That panel stays reachable afterwards from the cookie settings link in the footer.

Your browser has its own controls as well, including a "do not track" signal and a way to delete what is already stored. Browser settings are blunt instruments: they hit every site you visit, which is why the in-site panel is the better tool for Wild Tokyo specifically. One side effect is worth knowing about. Clearing cookies logs you out and resets your preferences.

Retention

Session cookies die when the browser closes. Persistent ones stay for a set period: thirteen months at the outside for analytics and marketing, and up to twenty-four for the fraud prevention signals, where catching a repeat abuser genuinely needs the longer window. Where a shorter life does not break the purpose, we use the shorter one.

International transfers

Vendors handling cookie data sit in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States and Curaçao, so the data travels outside Australia. The transfer safeguards described in the Privacy Policy cover this as well.

Fraud prevention and responsible gambling

A subset of cookies and device signals feeds fraud detection, AML monitoring and the responsible gambling protections. There is no switch for these. Disabling them would disable the safeguards themselves, and if being monitored at that level is not acceptable to you, the honest answer is not to use the platform.

Changes to this policy

We onboard new providers and retire old ones, so the vendor mix moves. Anything material, meaning a new category or a new purpose, is announced on the site. Housekeeping is not.
