Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Wild Tokyo Casino uses cookies and similar technologies on wildtokyo.com. It sits alongside the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and does not replace them. Honesty requires being clear that some cookies are needed to keep you logged in and to prevent fraud, and some exist purely to help us and our partners understand how the site is used and to serve marketing. The two are treated differently.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. It stores information a browser can read on later visits. Related technologies covered here include pixel tags, local storage, session storage, software development kits inside our mobile web wrapper, device fingerprinting signals used for fraud prevention, and server logs tied to your session. When this policy says “cookie”, read it as covering all of these unless the context clearly limits the term.
Legal frame that applies to you
Wild Tokyo is operated by GBL Solutions N.V. under a Curaçao licence. For Australian visitors, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles apply to personal information handled through cookies. Where cookies collect data that identifies you, they are subject to the same standards as any other personal information handling. Consent for non-essential cookies is captured through the banner on your first visit and can be changed at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
Categories of cookies we use
The list below groups cookies by purpose rather than by name because the underlying vendors change over time, and a vendor-by-vendor list would be out of date within weeks.
Strictly necessary cookies. These keep you logged in, remember your language and currency, secure the session, run fraud checks, and let the cashier operate. Without them the site cannot function. They do not require consent because they are essential to the service you asked for. Blocking them in your browser will break login and deposits.
Functional cookies. These remember non-essential preferences such as the last game category you visited, whether you dismissed a promo pop-up, and layout settings. They improve the experience but the site works without them.
Analytics cookies. These help us understand which games get traffic, where players drop off in the deposit flow, and how the loyalty and tournament pages perform. Aggregated data goes to internal dashboards and to analytics vendors under contract. Where a vendor combines signals across sites, that combination happens only after you consent.
Marketing and advertising cookies. These are set by us and by advertising partners to measure campaigns, attribute referrals from affiliates, and show you ads on other sites. If you decline them, you will still see ads elsewhere on the internet; they will simply be less relevant to your interests.
Third-party embedded content. Some pages embed content or scripts from providers such as game studios, live-chat vendors and payment gateways. Their cookies are governed by their own policies, and you can read those from the vendor’s own site.
How to control cookies
Two levers matter. The first is the consent banner on your first visit, which lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or open the granular panel to switch each category on or off. The second is the cookie settings link in the site footer, which reopens the same panel at any time.
Your browser also offers cookie controls, including a “do not track” signal and a way to delete stored cookies. Browser controls apply across every site you visit and can be blunt, so the in-site panel gives you finer control for Wild Tokyo specifically. If you clear cookies you may need to log in again and reset preferences.
Retention
Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a defined period, typically no more than thirteen months for analytics and marketing categories, and up to twenty-four months for fraud prevention signals where a longer window is genuinely needed to detect repeat abuse. Where a shorter retention is possible without breaking the purpose, we apply the shorter one.
International transfers
Cookie data may be processed outside Australia by vendors located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States and Curaçao. The transfer safeguards described in the Privacy Policy apply here as well.
Fraud prevention and responsible gambling
A subset of cookies and device signals feeds fraud detection, AML monitoring and responsible gambling protections. These cannot be disabled without breaking the safeguards they exist to run. If you would rather not be subject to that layer of monitoring, do not use the platform.
Changes to this policy
The vendor mix changes as we onboard new providers and retire old ones. Material changes to categories or purposes are announced on the site. Minor housekeeping happens without notice.
